A shower room can be transformed into a haven of luxury and elegance. Here are some ideas on how you can decorate your shower room to make it look inviting and comfortable. Check them out if you find something that suits your taste and likes.
The world of bathroom decorating has undergone a sea change over the years. While earlier people were satisfied with simple and practical designs for shower rooms, today they have realized that the visual appeal of a shower room is as important as its usefulness.
Luxury and splendor can be incorporated even into a bathroom. Here are some ideas on how to design a glorious bathroom that will become the envy of everyone visiting it.

Contemporary

For a contemporary look, use hushed tones in the design and the décor of the shower room. A simplistic design will work best for the contemporary, no fuss appeal. Have a shower enclosure with a glass door in the corner that faces the door.
Get a clear glass door with a curtain hanging from the inside. The bathtub and the sink can face the shower enclosure vertically. Wood and light colored stone (cream, brown or beige) are the safest and most versatile materials for the shower room. Ensure that the sink (opposite the tub) is huge and the counter of the sink runs across the length of the tub.
For effect, have a flower vase on the huge counter at all times. The flowers can be white, and also include a leaf or two for a little contrast. As far as storage is concerned, enclosed and beneath the sink is the best option. It won't take away anything from the overall ambiance and will be convenient as well.

Monochrome

For someone who likes to play it safe and have a shower room that does not scream out loud, a monochrome is the way to go. Choose one color and design a clean and compact shower room using it. White is a very popular choice for such bathrooms.
You can have a pristine tub in one corner, his and hers sinks across the tub, and a shower enclosure with translucent shower curtains in another corner, all in white.
If you're thinking of picking another color, then go for light shades like gray, very light green, beige, cream, and so on. For this design idea, enclosed cabinets above the respective sinks will work well. Or you can have them made and placed in a separate section of the room altogether.

Victorian

A Victorian theme for a bathroom is one of the best ideas, as of its detailed beauty. Place a claw foot tub on the longer side of the bathroom. Across the tub, you can have a glass enclosure with a walk in shower, or simply a portion sectioned off with a curtain.
A huge ornately carved mirror will be the highlight of the shower room. It can be right above a large sink and have an ornate dark wood stool right next to it. Dark wood cabinets for storage can be placed below the sink or in a separate area.

Ultra Modern

Here's an idea for those who want the room to scream style and panache! A huge bathroom with a sunken bathtub, placed vertically in the center of the bathroom is what you need. Have a huge mirror that runs from the ceiling to the floor placed right at the head of the bathtub which can be flanked by some fancy yellow lights, about halfway up the wall.
Storage can be on any side of the tub. It will have to be a concealed cabinet, so that the visual appeal of the bathroom is not dulled. On the side that does not have the cabinet, you can place a tall flower vase in a bright color, that runs vertically halfway across the wall.

Minimalist

The basic point of having a minimalist design for a shower room is to maximize the space that you have, and use it as economically as possible.
It is a very modern and practical approach to the designing and can turn out to be a masterpiece when done properly. For a minimalist design, a monochromatic color scheme works best.
You need to have minimum accessories and shelves enclosed within walls to ensure that there is enough space. A simple design idea for it would be a tub and a sink (both in the same color), no separate shower enclosure, a cabinet that slides open into the wall for storage, and a simple rug outside the tub. Nothing gets exposed, everything stays concealed.
When you design a bathroom, you must keep not only yourself in mind, but also probable visitors. Sure you're the one who should be the most comfortable using it, but make sure that the aesthetic value of the bathroom remains intact at all times. Regular cleaning and maintenance is needed. So design a beautiful bathroom and take good care of it!
