In fact, there are varieties of self-adhesive paper in the market that allow you to reuse it, provided you keep the backing of the same handy.
If you want to bring new life to a room, then using this wallpaper in the different varieties that it is available in may be a great option. Not only is the method economical, but it can completely change the ambiance of a room in a matter of hours. In this article, we will tell you how you can install this type of wallpaper and also how you can remove it, if the need arises.

Installing Self-Adhesive Wallpaper

Whether you are planning to use self-adhesive wallpaper for the entire room or just use a border to give your room a slight change from its usual look, the method of installing it remains more or less the same.
  • First and foremost, it is important that you clear out the area in which you are installing the wallpaper. Remove cabinets, unplug appliances, and unscrew any light switch plates.
  • Next, you will need to take measurements of the wall that you intend to paper. Take the measurements from the ceiling to the floor. It may be a good idea to leave 8 inches of extra wallpaper in case of any miscalculation.
  • With this wallpaper, it may be a good idea to stick it only one foot at a time, peeling away the backing on the wallpaper as you go along. You may, in rare cases, need to moisten the adhesive. You can do this by painting water on the back of the wallpaper.
  • As you apply the wallpaper, press it smoothly on the wall with your hands. Apply slight pressure as you do so.
  • It is imperative that you remove any wrinkles or bubbles that may be in the wallpaper strip. Use a wallpaper smoother to do this.
  • Once you are done installing the wallpaper, you will need to trim off the excess of it. Use the smoother to make indentations in the wallpaper when they are placed along window edges, the floor, or the ceiling.

Removing Self-Adhesive Wallpaper

Now that you know how to install this type of wallpaper, let us take a look at how to remove it. The fact of the matter is that with this kind of wallpaper, the biggest advantage is the ease with which it can be installed and removed.

If you use this type of wallpaper, you have a whole variety of renovations and home decoration ideas that you can use to give your home that much-needed makeover. Not only is it cheap, but it also saves time and is a gorgeous option.
