Building an Indoor Privacy Screen

Building a privacy screen is no task at all. Read on and you'll know all about the building aspect too. Here are the instructions for how to build a basic privacy screen.
Begin by ensuring the size of the privacy screen, because you'll be able to proceed only once you're sure of measurements. Following this, you'll also be able to purchase the required material in the right quantities. An absolutely basic privacy screen can be made up of just about 3 or 4 panels too.
Depending on the number of panels, get together either 6 or 8 hinges (6 if it's 3 panels and 8 if it's 4 panels), 3 sheets of plywood (make sure they're good quality so as to stand by themselves), canvas or any fabric to act as the cover, a nail gun, a stapler, crown molding, batting.
Start with cutting the panels to the size / height you'd like the screen to be. The next thing you want to do is staple the batting to the panels. This will allow the panels a soft and slightly cushioned feel.
Once that is done, go ahead and cover the panels with the fabric you've chosen for the screen, and secure it into place by nailing the crown molding to the edge of these panels. Following this step is the attachment of the three panels to each other.
Ideally, you should use 3 hinges on either side of the center panel since that will hold the screen up perfectly well. Fastening the hinges onto the panels brings you to the completion of the privacy screen. It is now ready to be moved into position, so go ahead and section off your room as you'd like.
A few ideas of fabrics or prints that can be used as a cover are paisley prints, damask, oriental prints, abstract prints or even floral prints. I hope all that's been mentioned throughout helps you the next time you decide to either buy or build a room divider.
