Laminate is many times cheaper than hardwood flooring. So, at a price that is very low, you can get the same look and feel of hardwood flooring. Laminate flooring has three layers - the wear layer, the core layer, and the backing layer. The wear layer helps in providing surface protection with aluminum oxide or melamine. The core layer is made of different degrees of high density fiber board; and the higher the density, the better the board. The backing layer helps the other two layers gain durability and strength.
