So, what is hand-scraped laminated flooring? It is a laminate plank flooring which looks like real hand-scraped wood flooring. Everybody knows about laminate flooring. It is cheaper and easier to install compared to hardwood flooring.
Though, this flooring is not real wood and doesn't increase the value of the property, it is still preferred by many due to its ease of installation. Laminate flooring also fails to give the look and feel of hardwood flooring.

Some product lines of hand-scraped wood floors allow the customer to select from light, medium, to heavy scraping. True artisans can render a reclaimed look complete with wormholes, splits, and other naturally-occurring shapes and markings on the floor.

Maintenance

It is very easy to maintain this type of flooring. Laminate doesn't require any waxing, buffering, or vigorous mopping. Vacuuming the floor on a regular basis will keep the floor neat and clean, you can also use a damp cloth or mop for additional floor cleaning.

Most designs of hand-scraped flooring's wear colors and layers which are technically generated. This wood flooring is available in different plank widths. One can select wide plank or thin planks. Also, there are square tile shapes available. So, the best plank shape or size depends upon what the home owner wants.

Price Factor

Laminate is many times cheaper than hardwood flooring. So, at a price that is very low, you can get the same look and feel of hardwood flooring. Also, a person can install the floors on their own, and save the cost of hiring a professional for installation. However, remember that hardwood flooring adds more value to one's property.

Suitable for All Rooms

Laminate flooring has three layers - the wear layer, the core layer, and the backing layer. The wear layer helps in providing surface protection with aluminum oxide or melamine. The core layer is made of different degrees of high density fiber board; and the higher the density, the better the board. The backing layer helps the other two layers gain durability and strength.

Easy to Install

Again, not to forget the ease of installing laminate floors. As the planks of this flooring have a tongue and grove edges, one can simply click and lock the planks and place it over concrete or vinyl without using any adhesive.
